Ankara is transforming selected areas of the city with a lighting master plan so that they become warm, elegant and comfortable places to visit by night, and attract people to visit them again.
The lighting design is considered as an overall concept for the 21 sites part of this master plan, while respecting each individual structure’s own image and needs. One of the most important considerations was the need to respect the city’s general ambience at night. For this reason, most of the structures are illuminated using intelligent white technology that uses color temperatures from 2700K-6500K to combine warm, neutral and cold tunes of white light depending on the architectural details.
